Chris Cooley Shows His Wee Wee: Accident or Not?
September 21, 2008, 4:40 am

Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley easily re-routed all the “tight end” jokes we could make by (mistakenly, we’re happy to report) posting a photo on his blog that showed the world what he doesn’t wear when reviewing the playbook.

Note that we are about to link to a non-PG-13 site. Got that? Are you sure? ‘Cause we don’t want any hate mail for providing a link with manhood parts at the bottom of the screen that children and prudes should 100% avoid. OK now. Ready? Look closely at the (appropriately enough) bottom of the screen here

Tony Romo to the Rescue!

Forget about Triple-A. Got a flat? Call Tony Romo!

Known for his heroics on the football field, the Dallas Cowboy star played hero to Bill and Sharon White on September 7, when the two found themselves stranded with a flat tire.

The Irving, Texas, couple were trying in vain to mend the tire when Romo – fresh off a flight from Cleveland where he and his team had beaten the Browns earlier in the day – pulled up.

“All of a sudden I hear a voice say, ‘Do you need help?’” Sharon, 53, says.

Without realizing it was Jessica Simpson’s beau who had come to their aid, the couple and the football star went at the flat tire together. After fiddling with the air compressor switch on the car jack, the tire inflated.

“At that point, I looked at him and thought, ‘Dang, he looks familiar,’” Sharon says. “I go, ‘You know what? You look like Tony Romo.’ He looked down and just gave me that boyish smile he’s got. Then he said, ‘That’s because I am.’”

“I just screamed as loud as I could,” Sharon says. “Then I grabbed him and hugged him.”

Her husband Bill, 61, who had missed the Dallas-Cleveland game while on the road, asked Romo what had happened to his bandaged chin. When Romo started explaining, “I stopped him and said, ‘Don’t tell me! I don’t want to know!” says Bill, who had recorded the game at home.

With the situation under control, Romo left the scene. But the starstruck Whites realized they’d forgotten to say thank you.

Now, if she had the chance, “I’d thank [Tony] so much for stopping,” Sharon says. “I love him to death, he’s a great guy. And I hope I didn’t bust his eardrum!”

Braylon Edwards gets a speeding ticket
September 13, 2008, 5:24 pm

Hey, I couldn’t let you head out toward your weekend without this small bit of advice: Drive safely. Because even if the cop lets you off with a warning, you may end up with the ticket anyway. Just ask the Browns’ Braylon Edwards.

Edwards was pulled over on Aug. 29 in Avon, Ohio, for doing 120 mph in his Bentley along Interstate 90. The cop, seeing that Edwards wasn’t drunk, and buying a story that a passenger was sick (good one), let the wide receiver off with a warning. Howeva … a local TV station got ahold of the story and called Avon Police Chief Paul Romond for a comment. So the officer was reprimanded and Edwards got his ticket anyway; just three weeks late.

Gisele Bundchen has no intention of marrying boyfriend Tom Brady.

The Brazilian beauty – who was recently reported to be keen to tie the knot
with her football player beau – admits she is in no rush to settle
down.

She said: “I’m happy as I am. Why is the whole world worked up about my
getting married? I’m having a great time and I want to enjoy it
.”

Audible groan

The Giants would prefer Eli Manning not sing into his headset

Eli Manning a double threat? Not so fast there, big guy.

“I think I’m great at karaoke,” the Giants quarterback told FSN, “but I don’t think anyone else agrees with that.”

Jessica Simpson Finds Her “Baby Daddy” in Tony

With his first regular season game coming up this weekend, Jessica’s man Tony wasn’t by his girl’s side, but apparently he’s been busy promoting her album to his teammates, handing out signed CDs, and listening to it constantly. He’s not the only smitten kitten, however; as we all read, Jess called him the love of her life last week, and she apparently also refers to him as FBD (future baby daddy) to her friends.

Bengals players were kicked out of the Bang nightclub in downtown Cincinnati.

Said an officer working security over his radio: “We got a few Bengals players in here: Chad Johnson and them….They are destroying the ceiling in the back room and they are all highly intoxicated. The bar owners … want them ejected from the bar, and we are going to try to eject them now. They have been rowdy all night.”

Fred Taylor Arrested??
September 2, 2008, 4:11 pm

It’s stories like this that give the phrase “arrested at 4 a.m. outside a South Beach Club” a bad name. Miami Beach police charged Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor with disorderly conduct yesterday outside the awesomely named “Club Cristal”. Taylor wasn’t jailed, but instead pinky-swore that he would appear in court at a future date. No word yet on whether in doing so, he injured his pinky.

Also unknown are the details surrounding the arrest, as the police department’s record division is closed for Labor Day. Apparently they figured if dry cleaners and accountants get the day off, so should they.

In an impressive act of team solidarity, Taylor’s former teammate Jimmy Smith was also arrested this weekend for driving under the ol’ influence. Police found marijuana roaches and an open beer in his car.

Your move, David Garrard.

Update: It appears that Taylor was not arrested, but merely given a citation. More details if/when they emerge.
